儿童是以色列和武装分子在加沙之间冲突的最大受害者

Waving a little piece of bread mixed with her 4-year-old daughter's blood, Bothayna Sbeikha, a bereaved mother, was trying to tell mourners that her child was killed in an Israeli artillery shelling on central Gaza Strip on Tuesday while she was eating.

The 28-year-old mother was busy in preparing lunch when Palestinian militants shot dead an Israeli worker on border fence between Gaza and Israel.

Immediately, Israeli artillery and war jets struck various areas in the strip in response to the attack, while Sbeikha's daughter Hala was playing outside the house and in his hand was a piece of bread.

Hala wasn't able to join the family for lunch because one of the artillery shells landed very close to the house and exploded, and she was killed, while her mother and two of her brothers were injured. Three other Palestinians were injured in another artillery strike on eastern Gaza city.

"May Allah (God) revenge on the criminal Jews... in our house there are no militants and there are no rockets or weapons," Sbeikha repeated while dozens of mourners were carrying the coffin of Hala from the hospital to the graveyard to bury the body.

"My little daughter wasn't fighting and she didn't carry any weapon, all what was in her hand, was this piece of bread I gave her," said the mother while weeping her tears, adding "in one hand she held a piece of bread and in the other hand she was holding her doll."

She went on to say that no one called the family to tell them to evacuate the house before shelling the area with bombs. "No one even had fired a rocket from here. I can never forget my daughter. "

Local residents said that the Israeli artillery shelling was sudden and surprising and came after months of calms since the end of last year's eight-day Israeli large-scale aerial war on the Gaza Strip that ended with an Egyptian brokered truce.

A UNICEF report showed that 91 percent of Gaza children suffer from sleeping difficulties and 85 percent suffer from loosing appetite due to the endless conflict between Israel and Gaza militants.
