乍得总统抵达喀土穆举行会谈
Chadian President Idriss Deby arrived in Khartoum on Monday for talks with his Sudanese counterpart Omar al-Bashir on a two-day visit, concerning common issues between the two countries.
Deby was received upon arrival at Khartoum airport by President al-Bashir and senior government officials.
Yassir Yousif, Sudan's State Minister of Information, told reporters that Deby's visit comes at an important time as for the standing political and security cooperation between Khartoum and N 'djamena.
He added that the visit was a continuation to the discussion of the important issues relating to the security on the joint border between the two countries as well as the conflicts in Central Africa Republic and other countries of the region.
The ties between Sudan and Chad have remarkably strengthened during the past period where the two sides have fully normalized their relations and signed a security protocol in which they vowed to halt providing support to the rebel movements in their countries respectively and deployed a joint force along their joint border to ensure border security.
