调查称一般的菲律宾人认为经济在恶化
About half of the Filipino population believe that the state of the country's economy deteriorated in the past 12 months, according to a survey released by research institute Pulse Asia on Monday.
The results of the survey, which was conducted on December 8 to 15, also revealed that 40 percent of Filipinos saw no change in the state of Philippine economy.
"Between June and December 2013, there is a significant rise in the percentage of Filipinos observing economic deterioration in the country," Pulse Asia said in a report available on its website.
Pulse Asia said that of those who declared that the country's economic condition worsened, 62 percent said they were "strongly" affected by such decline.
The results also showed that 43 percent of Filipinos said their quality of life deteriorated in the past 12 months while 41 percent observed no change.
Pulse Asia noted that the rising death toll due to typhoon Haiyan, the investigation on the alleged misuse of the pork barrel, and the increase in power rates were among the developments that preoccupied Filipinos prior to and during the conduct of the survey.
